This week we will study The Crucible. The story focuses on the Salem Witch Trials. The Puritans were deeply superstitious. This belief in superstition made the Puritans fearful of the idea of witchcraft to the point that the accusation of witchcraft was immediately believed. Are people superstitious today? If so, what are some common superstitions? If you do not believe people are superstitious today, why do you think these beliefs have disappeared?
